Privacy and cookie policy

To create and deliver a shipment, we process the details you enter: the sender’s and recipient’s name, address, postcode, town, country, email address and, where provided, telephone number, together with the parcel’s weight and dimensions.

We share this information with your chosen carrier and our shipping partner only to carry out the shipment. Payments are handled by Mollie; we do not store payment details such as bank account or card details ourselves.

Order and invoice records are retained for as long as needed to carry out the shipment, provide customer service and meet statutory administrative retention requirements.

We record a limited set of anonymous events to understand use of the website: a page view, starting the shipping calculator, viewing rates and starting checkout.

We record the event type, page path, device category (mobile, tablet or desktop), time and a temporary session code. The code is stored in your browser’s session storage, not a cookie, and disappears when the tab is closed. These statistics do not store an IP address, name, email address, town or personal profile, and do not track you across other websites. They are used only in aggregate in our own administration panel.

As this measurement is anonymous and used to operate and improve our own website, it does not place cookies.

For more detailed visitor statistics we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited. GA4 uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to measure returning visits and site usage.

GA4 is loaded only after you consent. Before a choice is made, or when you refuse, analytical storage is set to denied through Google Consent Mode, the script is not loaded and no GA4 cookies are placed. If you withdraw consent, the status returns to denied and previously placed GA4 cookies are removed.

We do not use GA4 for advertising. Advertising storage, advertising data and personalisation remain set to denied.

The ordering process uses technically necessary browser storage, for example to retain your selected rate and session during checkout and to keep you signed in when using an account. This technology does not require consent because the website cannot function without it.

Refusing is as easy as accepting: the cookie notice offers equivalent choices. You can change or withdraw your choice using the controls on this page or Cookie preferences in the footer. Refusing does not prevent you from using the calculator or ordering process.

You have the right to access your personal data, request correction or deletion and object to processing. Send your request to info@pakketbezorgd.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
